Privacy Policy

We take the protection of your data seriously and only collect what is actually needed. This page describes what is collected, for what purpose, and for how long.

1. Controller

The controller for data processing on this website is:

Yevhen Ptushko
ByteKraft
Fliederweg 3
46395 Bocholt
Germany
Email: support@bytekraft.net

2. Hosting and data processing

This website is hosted on servers of Hetzner Online GmbH in Germany. When the page is accessed, technically necessary data (IP address, timestamp, requested resource, user agent) is processed in a server log file. The legal basis is Art. 6 (1) (f) DSGVO (GDPR) — legitimate interest in stable operation and protection against attacks.

Hetzner Online GmbH
Industriestr. 25
91710 Gunzenhausen
Germany

A data processing agreement under Art. 28 GDPR is in place with Hetzner Online GmbH. The servers are located exclusively in Germany (Frankfurt am Main and Nuremberg). Log files are automatically deleted after no more than 14 days.

3. No cookies, no tracking, no third-party services

This website sets no tracking cookies, uses no analytics tool (no Google Analytics, no Matomo, no Plausible), and embeds no third-party resources that would transmit personal data. Technically necessary session cookies are set only when you submit a form, and only for the duration of the session.

4. No Google Fonts via CDN

Fonts are served from our own servers. No Google Fonts or other font CDN services are embedded. Your IP address is not transmitted to Google or similar providers when fonts are loaded.

5. Contact form and email contact

When you contact us via the contact form or by email, the data you provide (name, email address, company, industry, message) is used exclusively to process your inquiry. The legal basis is Art. 6 (1) (b) GDPR (initiation of a contractual relationship) or Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR (response to general inquiries).

Your information is not passed to third parties and not used for advertising. Messages from the contact form are stored as email on a mail server in Germany.

6. Storage period

We store personal data only as long as necessary for the stated purpose:

  • Server log files: up to 14 days
  • Contact inquiries without a follow-up project: up to 6 months
  • Contract data from active projects: until end of contract plus statutory retention periods (typically 6 or 10 years under German commercial and tax law)

7. Your rights as a data subject

You have the right at any time to:

  • Access to data stored about you (Art. 15 GDPR)
  • Correction of inaccurate data (Art. 16 GDPR)
  • Deletion of your data (Art. 17 GDPR), as long as no legal retention obligations apply
  • Restriction of processing (Art. 18 GDPR)
  • Data portability (Art. 20 GDPR)
  • Objection to processing based on legitimate interests (Art. 21 GDPR)
  • Withdrawal of consent given, with effect for the future (Art. 7 (3) GDPR)

To exercise these rights, an informal email to support@bytekraft.net is sufficient.

8. Right to lodge a complaint with the supervisory authority

You have the right to lodge a complaint with a data protection supervisory authority about our processing of your personal data. The competent authority for us is:

Landesbeauftragte für Datenschutz und Informationsfreiheit Nordrhein-Westfalen
Kavalleriestraße 2-4
40213 Düsseldorf
Germany
www.ldi.nrw.de

9. AI-supported processing in client projects

If we use AI models (e.g. Claude from Anthropic or European models) within a client project to process personal data, we do so on the basis of a separate data processing agreement with the respective provider. Details and the chosen models are documented in the relevant project agreement. On this website itself, no AI-supported processing of your data takes place.

10. Changes to this privacy policy

We update this privacy policy when the legal situation or technical implementation changes. The current version is always available on this page.
