Construction and Trades
Software for construction companies, trade businesses, and planning offices.
Construction and trade businesses live on precise quotes, clean site documentation, and quick response to owner inquiries. Software here has to work on the construction site, not in a meeting room — robust, offline-capable, with large input fields for hands that were just holding a drill.
Typical challenges in the industry
Quotes get written in the office in the evening, with data collected during the day on slips of paper, in voice messages, and in phone photos. Measurements get taken twice — once on site, once when transferring them to the software. Owners call several times a day for the latest status because they have no other channel. Material prices fluctuate, but quotes are often built with list prices from a year ago. These four points together are why many businesses run tight despite full order books.
What we actually build
Quote creation from measurements via structured forms or photo upload, with automatic material costing based on current supplier prices. Site documentation with GPS positioning, photo log, and an automatically generated weekly report for the owner. Supplier integration — where the supplier offers an API or structured export, we pull prices directly; where they do not, we automate the retrieval. Owner portal with status overview, approved invoices, and evidence preservation for legal acceptance. Substantially reduces the number of phone follow-ups.
Example projects
Concrete projects in construction are in preparation. We have run pilot conversations with a building materials wholesaler for automated material research, and a technical test with a French market participant. If you have something in this direction in mind, we are happy to discuss specific builds in the initial conversation.
Regulatory context
In construction, software decisions are mainly affected by the German contract regulations for construction work — VOB Part B governs billing and acceptance, VOB Part C the technical requirements. For public contracts, the procurement rules under GWB and VgV apply. For site documentation, retention periods of up to ten years apply under tax law and the German Commercial Code (HGB). We build so that records are stored in a structured, exportable, and audit-proof way.
How we start a project in your industry
In the first conversation we identify which bottleneck causes the most pain — usually quote processing, site documentation, or owner communication. We typically start with one of these three, ship a usable first version in four to six weeks, and build out from there. Fixed price per module.
